"With Whom Would You Rather Be With?"
"I"d rather be with hunting with Cheney than driving over a bridge with Kennedy!" With the veep you get to a hospital, with the senator you never made it out of the water. For everyone that's worried about the authorities being notified, the vice president "is" by definition a person in authority. And about law enforcement, last I remembered the bodyguard personnel that is detailed to protect the veep is the United States Secret Service,.....definition: federal law enforcement.

Liberals are dumb-asses. They vote for war then lie like the cowards they are by acting as if they didn't know what was "really" going on. Or worst yet they act as if they had no responsibility in authorizing us into war. Democrats in both houses of Congress authorized this. They are responsible. To deny it now means they are cowards, and traitors. They give hope to the enemy against our own troops in the field. Democrats are really good at mastering the spin. They also like to make everyone feel as if they are a victim in something. That was most apparent with how Al Gore presented himself. What a disgusting ass he is. I know that if I was Judge Alito sitting in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee and I had to answer questions from Senator Kennedy, I know what I'd say. First I'd remind the silver spoon multi-millionaire that some of us out here actually work for a living. So quit telling me how much you care for the poor people in this country. I would remind him if he is still on the wagon. And finally, when are you going to step down as senator considering that in 1969 you let a young female staffer drown to death because you were drunk and while driving overturned your car in a creek. As a coward you let her die. Your not qualified to judge "ANYTHING"!

Democrats are dumb-asses! (I am going to recant my democrats are dumb-asses. I actually liked Roosevelt, Truman, and Kennedy)

"Illegal Immigrants"

With an estimated 11 million people in this nation who are here illegally being a burden on welfare, hospitals, jails, etc. Don't tell me how wonderful it is that their here. I see often with regularity how an illegals abuse our system and in alot of cases gets by with it.

My state (Indiana) even makes accomodations for them. For example our driver's license. Any American who wants an Indiana driver's license has to be able to show proof of U.S. citizenship. Or no license. To show proof, you "have" to provide an "original" (no copies) of your birth certificate....regardless of where you were born. Add insult to injury if you already have an Indiana license and lose it, and we know your already in the Indiana BMV computer system, you still have to come back with your birth certificate again to apply for a new license! However if your a foreigner you show your documentation to an employee who will then send all that to the main HQ of the BMV in Indianapolis for verification. That process can take up to 60 days. In the meantime though you are immediately issued a permit to drive on any Indiana road. Just like that!

But you as an American or Indiana resident better not be out on the road with no license. That's a $175 fine. Second offense is jail. Charge: "Never receiving an operators license"

Not for an illegal. They're not ticketed, they're not sent to jail, their vehicle "might" get towed (depends on the mayor), and they go right back out on your streets again...usually uninsured. Good luck suing them in court. You have to find them first to serve them. That's why the police won't give them a traffic ticket in the first place. They hurt no one right? Except the rest of us that watch our insurance premiums go up due to the costs lost in their street accidents.

They either get registered, and the federal gov't. actually start doing it's job, and obey our laws, or

stay in your own country.  Smiley

"Homeland Uncertainty"

The Homeland Security department has announced through one of it's agencies (the Transportation Security Agency-TSA) that passengers are allowed to bring screwdrivers and scissors aboard planes! This is supposed to be an effort to reduce the long wait passengers have had to endure before they could board their planes. Generally the wait was two (2) hours before your plane was scheduled to depart.

Am I missing something here? Wasn't the whole idea behind having federal screeners in place was to make our planes more secure? To stop a potential terrorist at the gate? If I remember correctly the 9/11 terrorists seized three (3) planes by using nothing more than box cutters!

How many billions of taxpaying dollars do we now spend on our new "Homeland Uncertainty" only to have them do this to us? My main concern is that if the federal government is spending this kind of money for this amount of lackness, where else are they wasting my money at?

I guess we spend this kind of money so that we can harrass old people at airports, deny babies access to planes (cause their name is on a terrorist watch list!), train limited amounts of air marshals to shoot at suspects on a passenger jet at high-altitudes, and we still haven't controlled our borders with Canada and Mexico and the flood of millions of illegals already in this nation. And don't even get me started about the level of incompetence and outright illegal behavior through the years, most recently the FBI in Florida.

Yep, we have a mighty messed up government. It's not what you know that makes you a mover and a shaker in American politics,...it's who you know (or blow).

And that's just damn disgusting!

You think about that the next time you vote. I'll never vote party line again.

"Thanksgiving Day"

Tomorrow will be of course Thanksgiving Day. There are great many things for us as American's to be thankful for. My oldest son is serving overseas as a U.S. Marine. My younger son and his wife will spend their time together. My daughter will spend her time with her grandmomma. I will be alone, but not unhappy.

As a dad I still worry about my eldest son. Even though he is a man and has every right to decide his life (like being a Marine during this war) I still worry for his safety. As a parent your job never ends. But I am still mighty damn proud of him! My younger son took on far too many responsibilties at his age, but I'm still proud of him too. Then there is daughter. Only 9 years old and she will be having the time of her life at her grandmomma's house. And I adore her!

But I know that my kids will be alive, healthy, and happy. For this I am forever thankful.

Remember all those men and women who serve our nation overseas this year. Remember all our fellow countrymen who lost everything during the hurricane's this year. Remember your neighbor's who have much less than you, and have perhaps lost people most dear to them.

That's what Thanksgiving is all about.

"Happy Thanksgiving" to you all!

"The Indianapolis Mayor"

In my previous entry (Elected Idiots) I explained the scenario that was making its way into the lives of citizens of Indianapolis by an intitiative offered a year ago by the mayor. For most of you that don't know Indy's history, this idea was called "IndyWorks" by the mayor. It was his attempt to trim, consolidate, and make government services more efficient throughout the Indy area within Marion County. Indianapolis sits inside a county that has other cities and towns next to it (i.e. Lawrence, Speedway, and Beech Grove). The Indianapolis Police patrol the old city limits while the Marion Co. Sheriff patrols outside the old city limits. By law since 1971 when Dick Lugar (R) was mayor (now a U.S. Senator) the unincorporated areas left in Marion County was merged with the old city area to make Indianapolis larger. Beech Grove, Lawrence, and Speedway are their own incorporated cities. They didn't want to join up in a greater Indianapolis. This law was called United Government or "Uni-Gov" for short. Mayor Lugar touted that its time had come, and that the city would consolidate its services. It never happened. There has been some collaboration over the years to be sure (like one communication center for all police channels in Marion Co.), detective squads, etc. We even got rid of the three county commissioners (old county executives). But Lugar failed to rid Indianapolis of all unnecessary county positions or merge what needed to be merged. Why? Party politics. You don't want to get rid of someone in your own party that has a job. Like the recorder, clerk, sheriff, etc. That's the influence your party has..as long as it's your party in control. To be fair some county offices need to stay. A county prosecutor for example is the only attorney in your county that can file formal criminal charges in a court from any city within your county. If the police in Indianapolis, Lawrence, Beech Grove, Speedway, etc. make an arrest and then transport him to your jail, this is ran by a county sheriff.  But additional changes under Uni-Gov that could have been handled by Indianapolis were never made. Once a city expands into the new incorporated area of a county, the city police and other city services are now responsible for that area. Not the county. That would have meant that in 1971 (34 years ago) the sheriff should have been downsized to court security, jails, and process serving. Patrol deputies should have been transferred to the city police then. Lugar had no intention in 1971 of consolidation. Nor did the powers-that-be did either. Technical expansion meant a larger population, and hence a bigger part of federal revenues and grants. Knowing the demographics of the time. Whites headed for the suburbs and they were generally republican. Blacks and some whites that stayed in the old city limits were usually democrat. Until the 1990's the city-county council was republican controlled. Until this mayor, all our mayor's were usually republican and so where our county elected officials.

Much has remained the same since the days of Lugar. Only the demographics have changed. More people are here, crime is higher, and property values are less. Enter the new mayor..Bart Peterson (D). He enters his first term by wanting to hire 200 new cops (due to high crime). By his second term he wants to either consolidate all government (which he publishes no details on) to reduce costs or he threatens the public with lay-offs of city police and firefighters (among other city services). The talk of raising taxes is taboo amongst folks here. Yet in Center Township (the core of the old city) property values have bottomed out. The real reason for consolidation wasn't to make Indy more efficient. It was to gain control of township taxes in the suburbs to pay for the inefficiencies and costs in the old city area. This mayor lied too!

This morning the city-county council by a single vote said "no" to Bart Peterson. That one vote was made by a woman, who is black, an army veteran, a democrat, and a 15 year veteran officer of IPD. Hurray for her!

The mayor needs to find another job. Just like the 40 plus IPD officers he will lay-off. If you have read my previous entry, some of what he could do to trim his budget would certaintly help. My guess is is that he's far too arrogant to want to do the real job of trimming budgets. Like starting with his own office!

More later!

The hypocrisy of government is we spend billions on homeland security, but we can't control our international borders. We'd rather place air marshal's on rotating flights where a marshal may have to "shoot it out" with a terrorist, but simple canisters filled with "knock-out" gas could easily be placed in all planes without having to shoot anyone. In an emergency bad guys would go to sleep by a simple push of a button in the cockpit.

Regardless of political parties, the best we could place on the ticket for the presidency was John Kerry (D) and George Bush (R). One never went to war, and the other "earned" more medals in 4 months than any GI did in WW2 (and if you think he earned them I got swamp land for sale too). Both are ridiculous.

Indianapolis government really sucks, ask the cops that are about to lose their jobs while our mayor maintains "6" totally useless deputy mayor's in his administration (I doubt if Chicago and New York have that many, but if they did, their far larger than Indy). If your short on public service funds, then keep your fire and police dept.s and get rid of the bureacracy called the Dept. of Public Safety. After all if the fire and police chief's are appointed by, answer directly to, and serve at the mayor's pleasure, then why do you spend millions more for useless DPS heads, their equipment, supplies, perks, benefits, cars, and staff? Why does IPD need 5 deputy chiefs? District commanders (in reduced rank and pay) could serve the department well with it's current 5 districts.

Indy folks alreay know that when consolidation of the city and county police occur, 250 former inner-city cops will head out to the old county side. Crime in the inner-city is skyrocketing now. IPD has not hired any new recruits for a year. No new officers, officers retiring, and now 100 to 250 more will head out to the suburbs. Our mayor is an idiot! But we could find 500 million dollars for the new Colts stadium. Trick is though, our mayor had to ask the state for the money. He ended up with a regional tax, and now folks outside of Indianapolis are forced into paying for it too. Their representatives now sit on the board that has the authority to manage this new stadium taking all authority over it away from the city. Our mayor is an idiot! And even with consolidation, we will be bankrupt by 2007. No savings (as promised by our idiot mayor). Consolidation always costs more money. And yet we will still have to let our criminals out of our overcrowded jail early. Some of them have already went right back into their old habits, and committed some new ones....murder(s). Our mayor is an idiot! We have an old mental health hospital that was shut down years ago that's been collecting dust on the city's near westside. This is 50 acres of land that could be used to house minimum and medium security risks offenders awaiting trial in Indy. But folks don't want it, the city can't pay for it, crime is up, cops are out, judges are overloaded, our sewers stink, our roads are bad, our neighborhoods look gross. I guess we will become one big ghetto in about another ten years. But we will have a new stadium! I guess that would give folks here the same good feeling that New Orleans folks got in 1971 when they built theirs. I'll bet they still felt good too when they had to hide out in it during the hurricane. I remember their city leaders telling them to make a choice between infrastructure for the city, or a new superbowl stadium (that'll create hundreds of new jobs). Well they made their choice didn't they? 34 years later (since 1971) they all were still dirt poor, no jobs, hiding out for their lives first from a hurricane, then from criminals. They had idiots for mayors, and so do we!

Just a thought!

"Dimensions"

All matter and energy within the known universe are known to maintain numerous oscillating frequencies. Hence space within the known universe may not be truly void of all matter and energy. This is because energy has been theorized to "appear" and then "disappear" within space with regularity. If this being said is true then I would argue that at the moment of creation when all things came to be, matter and energy oscillated at their frequencies in "multiple" universes. They have of course morphed over the billions of years to have their current frequencies that we can experience in this universe today. Their properties if you will. But what if there was matter and energy that was also created at the same moment in time as ours that had different oscillating frequencies than our own? They too would also exist, but would be unknown to us. Our universes could not interact with each other. Yet they would occupy the same space. Planets would pass through each other with absolutely no effect on the other. Worlds and stars and galaxies that you couldn't feel, hear, nor see because they operated at a level beyond our own would nevertheless be there. These would be other dimensions. I wonder then when physicists claim that they have discovered a new element say by using a super-collider if what they really haven't done is brought a particle(s) of elements into our universe from another one?

Just a thought!

I find the principle of Einstein's "Special Relativity" with regards to spacetime to be a "farce". I am well aware of his theory as he published it in 1905. I am also well aware of the fact that the scientific community has since embraced it as a principle of fact. They even call it the "fourth dimension". As if time itself is a "force" in the universe. But after more than 30 years of studying it I have come to my own conclusion. That no matter how you describe interactivities of matter and energy on each other with relation to the velocity involved, time does NOT exist. It is not a force. Hence, the movement for example of people is not possible forward or backwards through "time". The noted effects of one man travelling in space who ages more slowly than say his twin brother who stayed on the Earth during that time is considered a fact of science (this being the effect registered on astronauts who have travelled in space). In my opinion it is not time but rather the effect with or without gravity reacting on matter as it accelerates through the vacuum of space, ...and nothing more. Time is not a constant because it simply does not exist. Events "occur" simply because of the complex effects that matter and energy play upon each other.

Just a thought!
